How we can help you develop
At The National Student, not only will we publish your work and give you regular constructive feedback, but we will also provide you with training and support throughout your time here.
What we can offer you
The longer you contribute to The National Student, the greater the training opportunities you can get here.
While you can get in touch with our editorial team whenever you need (by email!), we also have three meet-ups each year where editors and contributors can chat through any questions or problems they have. These events allow our contributors to meet like-minded people, learn from each other and receive training from our senior staff.
Also, when you become more experienced as a contributor, you have the option to apply to be a section editor (paid), junior editor (also paid) or content-series lead. These involve training and ongoing support to help you learn crucial editorial skills such as editing, writing and commissioning pitches, liaising with PR, managing contributors and using our CMS.
For in-house editorial experience, we offer lots of work experience placements all year round at The National Student HQ. To apply, get in touch with the team on email@example.com or by phone on (0)207 840 2997.
