Everyone has a guilty pleasure. Something that you love to hate and hate yourself for loving.

Maybe you’re a young, sporty guy who likes to think of himself as pretty macho but also watches Desperate Housewives religiously (guilty!).  Perhaps you can’t go a few hours without checking Miley Cyrus’ Twitter feed. Or do you cry yourself to sleep every night while listening to the Steps Greatest Hits album on repeat?

Whatever your vice may be, I often find that even the most depressingly terrible things can be improved by an unexpected and incredible fact.  For example, if I told you that Paris Hilton turned down a career as an astronaut in order to focus on reality television, would you not be more interested in her? Or what if I said that a member of One Direction spoke 12 languages fluently?  To the best of my knowledge, neither of
these things is true. But you get the picture.

Rebecca Black’s “Friday” Is About The Kennedy AssassinationSo when I heard that Rebecca Black’s song “Friday” may actually be about the assassination of U.S. President John F Kennedy, I was instantly more interested than before.

Apparently, the assassination occurred on a Friday. The driver of Kennedy’s car was called Samuel Kickin (Kickin’ in the front seat, sittin’ in the back seat). Afterwards, a member of the secret service shouted at Kennedy’s wife to “get down” (got to get down on Friday) and apparently Kennedy had even eaten cereal instead of his normal eggs and toast that morning (got to have my bowl, got to have cereal).  Spooky, eh?  You can see the rest of the “facts” here.

It can’t be a coincidence that some of the most popular videos on the internet involve one animal riding on another.  Think of the baby monkey riding backwards on a pig or the kitten riding a tortoise.  For this reason, it’s no surprise that this next video is absolutely amazing.

To be completely honest, this doesn’t seem all that much different to normal sheep herding.  However, the addition of monkeys makes the whole thing around a thousand times better and less boring (whoever thought of televising the British Sheep Dog Trials had a terrible idea). I love the fact that there is a “team” of these monkeys. I really like to think that there’s a competitive element involved and that teams of dog-riding monkeys tour the world chasing big cash prizes (and sheep of course).

Next, has someone ever annoyed you so much that you really want to get back at them (but without letting them know that it was you)? Revenge is a dangerous game but luckily a company called poopsenders has stepped in to do all of your dirty work for you.  Poopsenders will send a box of poo to anyone who has done wrong by you.  Special offers this month include elephant and gorilla poo.  What’s more, on top of the poo will be a card saying “You’ve been pooped on.  Want to know by who?” When the angry recipient digs into the poo to turn over the card, all they’ll find written is “We’ll never tell.”. I’ve never been so disgusted but amused at the same time.

And finally, after a cat named Orville was hit by a car, his owner, Dutch artist Bart Jansen, decided he wasn’t yet ready to part with his old pet.  So, naturally, he had Orville stuffed, attached propellers to his limbs and turned him into a remote-controlled helocopter.  You can read the full story here and watch the Orvillecopter’s first flight below.
