Two men smashed up a McDonalds on Sunday – because there weren’t enough onions on their cheeseburgers.

Sean Mosey, 23, and Christopher Slate, 21, told website The Smoking Gun that they were “upset with McDonalds because their cheeseburgers had been messed up.”

Mosey and Slate visited a Tennessee branch of the restaurant on Sunday morning, before spending the rest of the day getting drunk and “worked up about the cheeseburgers”, according to a police report on the incident.

They then headed back to McDonalds at 3am, where they proceeded to take off their shirts, wrap them around their heads and attack the windows with bricks and concrete.

Mosey then fell face-first onto the pavement – where he remained until he was arrested, too drunk to get up.

They have now been charged with reckless endangerment and vandalism, as well as a further charge of public intoxication for Mosey.

Slate told WTVF-TV: "We were ticked. I mean ticked is an understatement. We hung out and drank more, and everything went down."
