Zoo keeper saves monkey's life by licking its bottom for an hour

A Chinese zoo keeper went far beyond the requirements of his job when he noticed that one of his charges was in pain.
It could have been a sad end for the three-month-old Francois Langer monkey, who was too small to ingest either laxatives or the peanut he’d just eaten.
Luckily Zhang Bangsheng was on hand to save the day.
Even if that did mean spending an hour licking the monkey’s bottom to ensure the peanut ‘passed’ safely.
We are assured that Bangsheng washed the area with warm water before performing the task (that’s ok then).
When the peanut was retrieved he ‘laughed with satisfaction’.
We’re hoping Bangseng’s life-saving feat doesn’t make him the butt of his co-workers’ jokes.
