Ashley McDowell, 22 found herself in one of these said car parks at around 10pm on Monday evening. Two gentlemen approached her after she’d purchased her Big Mac™ and showed her their wares.
The one with a gold tooth started his sales pitch explaining they had a trunkful of brand new ipads in FedEx boxes. They bought them in bulk hence the special deal they could do for Ashley.
A bit of bartering went on between the business men and the young woman and she eventually got the price down to around £110 - all the way down from £185! Retailing at £659 she knew she’d be stupid to say no.
She took her FedEx box and accelerated hard to speed out of the car park before they changed their minds.
Once arriving home she opened the box to find a piece of wood that had been painted black with an Apple logo on it.
Ashley Mcdowell had been conned.
She says the criminals were in a white Chevy Impala with no rims and intinted windows.
