Weird names are rife in the land of celebrity offspring.
The latest addition to the Beckham family sounds like a Top Gun reference.
Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow’s daughter is going to frequently get mistaken for a descendant of Steve Jobs.
Jamie Oliver’s clan sounds like they have been named after his favorite care bears; Poppy Honey, Daisy Boo, Rainbow Blossom Petal and Buddy Bear.
But how about 'Talula Does the Hula from Hawaii'?
The 9 year old girl from New Zealand has been allowed to change her name, after reporting to have been ‘traumatized’.
The judge said at the time: "The court is profoundly concerned about the very poor judgment which this child's parents have shown in choosing this name."
The girl’s parents “had not considered the implications when they named her.”
New Zealand’s name registrar have decided to take action following this trend resulting in discovering it had approved boy names like 'Violence' and 'Number 16 Bus Shelter'.
‘Fish and Chips’, ‘Sex fruit’ and ‘Messiah’ are among the 102 names to have been rejected by the registrar since 2008. Other prohibitions include banning titles such as ‘Knight’, ‘King’ and ‘Judge’, as well as punctuation marks such as ‘*’ and ‘/’.
