What is slang? How do we use it? And how does it affect our language over time?
In this video a selection of very different people - ranging from a 17-year-old student to a 28-year-old travel blogger to a 73-year-old fitness instructor - discuss their relationship with slang with Kings College London professor Tony Thorne.
We particularly enjoyed the discussion over finding yourself a hot mess, and how the twitters change language in the eyes of those in their 40s.
