Last week there was a by-election in Wythenshawe and Sale East (which for all those who have never sampled the area’s delights, is Manchester.)

It wasn’t a huge surprise that Labour emerged comfortably victorious, with nearly 10,000 more votes than runners-up UKIP.

But that didn’t stop Conservative candidate Rev Daniel Critchlow’s London-based team giving it a real good go.

So, here’s what happened before the election. It’s a three and a half minute declaration on what the North West thinks about Tories. Namely, get off my phone. You b*stard.
