Of all the travel destinations on your list this year, New England might not feature very high, but it should.

While many hope to visit the USA this year, tourists too often flock to obvious destinations like New York, Florida or California. As a result, they miss hidden gems like New England.

Though not a destination that typically first comes to mind when one thinks about North America, New England is a beautiful state filled with breathtaking sites and fun activities. For too long it has played second fiddle to the more popular tourist destinations, but as people seek new adventures and smaller crowds, this might finally be New England’s year.

Indeed, a visit to New England couldn’t be better timed, as 2018 looks set to be the year it shines. Whether you want adrenaline pumping experiences, spectacular views or some culture with a twist, New England has it! Better yet, it’s even cheaper to fly from London to destinations in New England this year, with great deals and an increased number of flights.

Still not convinced? Just take a peek at our list of must-see attractions and you soon will be.

As of 15th March, you now have the chance to try HighFlyer, a four-line zipline which runs 350 feet in the air. Starting from the rooftop of Fox tower, you’ll land 3,700 feet away at the Mashantucket Pequot Museum and Research Center.

Not for the faint of heart, this action-packed activity is sure to be a holiday highlight!

Tickets are on sale here, with prices starting from $69 for adults and $59 for youths (must be aged 15 or below).

If ziplining doesn’t take your fancy, why not try go-karting?
