Christmas is almost upon us so it’s time to start thinking about how you’re going to ring in the New Year. Luckily, you don’t need to go far or spend big to have a fantastic New Year’s Eve, as the UK has some of the best celebrations and destinations in the world, whether you want to start 2018 raging or relaxing. London will always be close to our hearts, but there are so many other places in the UK to have an incredible New Year’s Eve (and minus the bustle too). Here are some of the most weird and wonderful New Year’s destinations: Edinburgh Scotland’s capital comes to life at this magical time of year with Hogmanay, a three-day celebration from the 30th December to the 1st January. Bundle up, wander the city’s streets in full festive swing and enjoy the many events, from the torchlight procession to the New Year’s Eve ‘Concert in the Garden’ (headlined this year by Lily Allen). St Ives This quaint little Cornish town doesn’t seem like the most obvious place to spend New Year’s, but it is becoming one of the most popular places in the UK to say goodbye to the old and in with the new.
