What do you think of when you hear the word, 'festival'? Mud, wellies and cider? How about snow, skiing and EDM? That's exactly what Horizon festival offers. Back for a second year in the snowy hills of Bansko, Bulgaria, Horizon offers six days of snow and music in March next year. 2014 will see two new stages added to the festival, the The Secret Hotel & The Forest Stage, both accessible from the piste by ski or bus. The line-up includes Ame, Catz 'n Dogz and Kink, as well as headliner Kerri Chandler. For the ski bums amongst us there will be discounted ski and snowboarding lessons on offer, but the festival also offers non-skiing packages. Free daily yoga classes and professional snowboarding demonstrations will be going on throughout the day with more than 20 party venues keeping things going all night. Eating and drinking around the festival site is very reasonable, with beers coming in at around £2 and a large meal at around £10. Full packages start from just £199 per person for non-skiers or £279 for skiers (to include a five day ski pass). Included are six nights of accommodation in the dedicated festival hotel and access to over 30 Horizon parties. For the less sportily inclined, non-skiing packages are available from £199 and for an extra £69 you can add on a spa package. Horizon Festival takes place 8-14th March 2014.
