London: world class events every single night, so many that you don’t know where to begin – and then before you know it the (massively expensive) tickets have all been swiped and you’re spending the evening in the pub next to your flat. Again.

The capital’s cultural scene is expensive and overwhelming, especially for students - but now there might be a way to solve this conundrum.

Music students and those with a classically-adept ear, or those who just want to do something different with their evening, are in for a treat with the Student Pulse app, which lists all concerts that offer student discounts on tickets, in one easily accessible place.

The new app is giving you the chance to grab tickets for events at locations including the Barbican and the Southbank Centre, as well as at concerts from ten of London’s top orchestras – for a fraction of the price.

According to the app’s makers, tickets ranging from £3 to £10 will be available to any student with a valid ID, for seats that would normally cost up to £60.

After registering, tickets for concerts can be bought in two taps, producing an e-ticket that can be used on the night.

You can even get rewards, the more you use the app – think free tickets, Amazon and Pizza Express vouchers, and even an iPad mini.

We think that’s a pretty good deal and a sophisticated way to spend your evening.

The app is available on Android devices and iPhone through Google Play and the App Store. For those with Blackberrys and Windows phones, or those without a smart phone, it is also possible to buy student tickets through the mobile site:
