Robot battle begins at Middlesex University

The coming 'Eurobot' competition will include two Middlesex University students.
A robot battle recently took place at Middlesex University when a national robotics competition came to the Hendon campus.
John Peerless and Ravi Ravi won first place in the contest, which was open for young people across the UK . The competition was between design engineering students from Middlesex University and Imperial College, London.
The teams taking part in the UK finals were tasked to design, build and program robots in order to complete a number of tasks related to birthday theme, such as opening a present or blowing balloons.
Calum Knott and Zelbane Abdelati from Middlesex University came second, whilst third was Imperial College. All three teams have won places at the international finals which will be held in La Ferte Bernard, France, between 9th and 12th May. The finalists will come face to face with the best teams from across the globe.
Middlesex University Technical tutor Michael Heeney wished the students the best.
