Yodelling and log fires: We imagined what a winter series of Love Island would look like

Love Island comes to an end next Monday and everyone in the UK is going into panic mode. What will we talk about? How will we cope?

Luckily for us, famous vlogger Zoella has come up with an idea for an amazing spin-off called Love Iceland.

Taking to twitter she wrote "Petition to start another series and call it “LOVE ICELAND” the winter edition of love island they could snuggle by the fire in blankets."

Seriously, ITV2 need to commission this because it sounds dreamy and 12 months is far too long to wait for the next summer series.

To help the producers out we’ve imagined what a series of Love Iceland could be like.

The contestants - or Icelanders-  will live in a ski chalet instead of a villa and ditch the bikinis for bobble hats and fake fur puffer jackets.

They’ll spend their days lounging by open log fires and skiing down the slopes.

The beach hut would become the ski shack while the hideaway would keep the same name but involve lots of fluffy blankets for couples to snuggle under. In addition, there could also be a sauna for couples to get hot and steamy in.

Dates could involve toasting marshmallows over an open fire, drinking mulled wine and a cosy fondue night for two.

When someone gets dumped from the chalet they should be whisked away in a reindeer drawn sleigh adorned with bells.

As always, music will be a focus of the series but forget Chis and Kem rapping because Love Iceland would be all about yodelling.

If two people want to couple up with the same person they would have to take part in a yodel off.

And instead of Marcel from Blazin’ Squad, the chalet could include yodel star Ilinca Bacila, who recently represented Romania in Eurovision.

Tasks would be based on local traditions and pursuits, like milking cows and making cheese, with couples pitted against each other to win immunity from evictions by passing tasks.

At the end of the series, there’d be a massive Snow Ball for the finalists to celebrate and Caroline Flack would temporarily have to rename herself Caroline Frost.

Sounds good to us, so get cracking ITV2 and make this happen.
