After the success of the first two seasons, the Netflix animated show Voltron Legendary Defender will be returning to the streaming service with a third season in September 2017.

According to the Voltron poster at the New York Toy Fair, 13 new episodes will be released in September 2017. In addition, ten episodes of the original Voltron show will be released, with "new content added" to the episodes.

Voltron is part of Netflix's commitment to larger family-oriented content. Den of Geek has also revealed that the series has 78 episodes planned in total, which means it's guaranteed to run for at least six seasons on Netflix.

Voltron Legendary Defender is a flashy retelling of the classic 80s cartoon that retells the story of five kids who have to form Voltron, "the greatest weapon ever known" in order to protect the galaxy from the evil Galra empire.

New Voltron toys were revealed at the Toy Fair as well, including action figures of the Paladins.

The first two seasons of Voltron are available on Netflix.
