BBC Three's Frankenstein's Wedding... Live In Leeds is a bold re-imagining of Mary Shelley's 1818 gothic masterpiece, Frankenstein. Set in the haunting surroundings of Kirkstall Abbey, this unique live music drama event brings a one-of-a-kind spectacular to the city of Leeds on Saturday 19th March 2011. Elizabeth Lavenza (played by Lacey Turner), unlike her passive counterpart from the 1818 original, is smart, strong and knows what she wants – an equal partnership with the man she loves. Simple – right? Trouble is Victor has become increasingly obsessed with his work, spending hours toiling away in his lab. They've been together for ages but she can't help but question if she really knows this manic and sleep-deprived man. He has always been passionate about his work, it's one of the reasons she fell in love with him, but this is different. She is almost certain he is hiding something. But now is not the time for doubts – with an invite list of thousands and an ambitious wedding planner flapping around, Elizabeth has got to grit her teeth and get on with it. She'd be happy with a reception in the upstairs of a pub but the Frankensteins don't do things by halves!
