The new academic year calls for new necessities, with fresh, new desk spaces reflecting our refreshed states of mind.

To mark the new university year, The National Student gave their writers the much-welcomed challenge of heading to Primark and picking up some desk goodies. While the results were all #DeskGoals, we’ve narrowed down the desks to find our top three. *Drum roll please*

In third place is the lovely desk set up by Charli Torode. With a muted colour scheme, along with the cute elements of the cat mug, orchid and sleepy-eyed laptop screen, the desk looks like a relaxing work space that we are more than a little envious of.

In second place is Arantxa Underwood’s chic and understated desk. The monochromatic tones and bold, dark backdrop create a stunning work space; when organisation looks this good, studying is made easy (or easier, at least.)

And in first place is Pagan Locke’s light, inviting, colour-coordinated desk. It looks like a dream study space. With a balance of almost-symmetry created by her hanging plants, Pagan’s desk looks like a corner of calm to work in.

And, we would like to give a special shout-out to Harriet Willis who's Primark desk items can be seen reappearing in lots of her Instagram posts. For some great study inspiration, head to Harriet's Instagram here.
