UCLan student who died over weekend named

The UCLan student who died over the weekend has been named as first year medical & surgery student Noriko Seida .
She was found by campus security around 8pm on Saturday evening.
Police were called to the iQ Koopa halls of residence in Preston, and cordoned off block C until early Sunday.
Police originally said the death was unexplained, but are now treating it as not suspicious.
Professor Cathy Jackson, School of Medicine dean, speaking to Pluto student newspaper, said: "Although she was a relatively new student, Norkio had settled well into the course and was very committed to her studies."
Luke Chang Yen Zhi, student president within the School of Medicine, paid tribute: "Noriko was much loved and was a very diligent and responsible student. Being very punctual and hardworking she was always excited about her work and passionate about her friends. She will be greatly missed and never forgotten."
A university spokesperson said: "All students and staff from the School of Medicine have been informed about the incident and the university is offering counselling and welfare support to all those affected."
A file will now be prepared for the coroner.
