It’s bad news for London in the Time Higher Education’s newest student experience ranking, with the capital’s universities taking up seven of the bottom ten places.

The University of east London was ranked as the university with the lowest ranking for student experience in the whole country, with a score of just 59/100 overall.

London universities also in the bottom ten, ranked from 115 universities in the UK, were London Metropolitan, the University of West London, University of the Arts London, City University, the University of Westminster and London South Bank.

The rest of the bottom ten was made up of Anglia Ruskin, Bedfordshire and the University of the West of Scotland.

It gets no better for London slightly further up the table, either – London School of Economics, which consistently comes out highly in global league tables, Kingston University, Middlesex University and the University of Greenwich were all also in the bottom 20.

The highest ranked London university was Imperial College, in 30th place.

At the other end of the scale, the University of Bath was named as the university with the highest ranking for student experience.
