If you’re a student (or even a local) in the capital and feel that it’s time to give your mop a chop, we’ve got some exceptionally good news for you. Tomorrow (Friday 7th November) you can get yourself a free haircut, simply by visiting a pop-up barbershop that has been making its way around the country, visiting the top student cities along the way There is no catch here, we’ll just add. The free cuts are being offered by mobile network giffgaff, which has been touring the country for the last few weeks giving revamps to the barnets of students everywhere from Edinburgh to Cardiff to Brighton. Since starting two weeks ago in the Scottish capital, the nationwide tour has hit a new city every day, and has seen students and locals getting the chop at giffgaff’s custom-built mobile barbershop, which sometimes has been giving as many as 150 haircuts in one day. The cuts are being performed by top choppers from the Total Barbers’ Academy and include stylist Jenny Rhodes – known for her military speed-cut techniques on TV – and barber of the year Dan Lee. With the hair and beauty team from TV’s 24 tagging along, you know your locks will be in good hands.
