Roses are red, violets are blue… you know the rest, and love it or hate it Valentine’s Day is fast approaching.
February 14th is considered the most romantic day of the year and therefore we are bombarded with red hearts, red roses, and heart shaped boxes of chocolates. But St Valentine certainly creates a division between the happily loved up couples who embrace the day and can’t wait to gaze at their loved one over candle light, and the singles who feel like seeing red as they are blasted with romance, romance, romance… arghhh!
To appeal to both the couples looking to create a romantic evening with their special someone, and the singles planning to celebrate (or commiserate) singledom with their friends, NUS extra is running a few special competitions that play on the love/hate valentine theme with a selection of prizes up for grabs to help you to either be a big lovebug or rejoice your single status.
Alex Butcher, Marketing and Partnerships Manager for NUS extra, said: “We know that not everyone looks forward to it, and so this selection of prizes should appeal to everyone. We wanted to make sure all our card holders felt loved this Valentine’s Day.”
