Great Britain’s women’s hockey team have lost their latest test series with a 4-1 away defeat against Argentina.
The Olympic Champions lost the first two fixtures 2-1 and 3-1 respectively. The latter being captain Alex Danson’s 100th cap for GB.
In the third game of the five-match series, Danson netted her 50th goal for GB in a 5-2 defeat.
The away side finally found the winning formula with a 4-2 victory against the hosts in the fourth match, though were unable to build upon this performance losing the final fixture 1-0.
GB will leave Argentina slightly disappointed with their series defeat at the hands of the world number three.
The side will now split into the home nations ahead of the Commonwealth Games this April in Queensland, Australia.
Reflecting on the series, GB coach Danny Kerry said: "There has been massive team growth and development out here and the team have grafted on and off the field.
"I'm proud of the steps we have taken forward here and the new caps will never forget this experience.
"The people in Rosario have been wonderful and we have loved every minute. A brilliant experience which will stand us in very good stead."
