A OnePoll survey has revealed that over 50% of supporters at 9 separate clubs believe their team has the potential to perform well with their current manager. It also concluded Arsenal, Crystal Palace and Stoke City fans unanimously feel their side would improve if there was a change of management.

The survey was conducted with 2000 Premier League fans representing all 20 teams. Tottenham supporters had the most faith in their manager with 81% believing Mauricio Pochettino is the best man for the club and only 6% arguing that Spurs would be better off under different management.

Onepoll were working on behalf of Ladbrokes whose odds match up with the results. Newcastle boss Rafa Benitez’s odds stand at 13/8 for him to leave by the end of the season and just under a third of supporters think he will voluntarily step down by May.

The results wildly varied from the current Premier League standings, with present league leaders Manchester City a lowly 12th in the table of managerial support from fans. Whilst Bournemouth, second bottom in the division with 4 points from 8 matches, are one place above City in 11th.

48% of Crystal Palace fans believe their team would perform better if manager Roy Hodgson was replaced and Ladbrokes still have Palace as favourites for relegation at 1/1. But West Ham boss Slaven Bilić, remains the most likely to be sacked this season with odds of 1/6 and 41% of the team’s fans seem to agree that his dismissal by the end of the season is inevitable.

As for last season’s top six, unsurprisingly Arsene Wenger is seen as the most likely manager to be out of the job by the end of the season. Chelsea’s Antonio Conte comes in a close second with over one-third of football supporters thinking he could be given the boot. Manchester United and Manchester City’s managers Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola seem to be the safest within the top six with only 21% and 23% believing they will be gone by the end of the season.

Here is a table showing some of Ladbrokes and Onepoll’s results:
