ESPN business reporter Darren Rovell makes a valid point since technically the four-fingered mascot does not have a middle finger.

The Mets organisation was quick to get to the forefront of the issue by releasing this statement and firing the man who was wearing the Mr. Met suit, according to the Associated Press.
