Internet trolls: It's time to leave Kylie Jenner (and everyone else) alone

You’re feeling good? Confident? Take a selfie right now. Go ahead, post it on your social networking sites. Caption it with your plans for the day, or maybe some lyrics. Then wait. Wait for hundreds of thousands of people to comment insulting and cruel things as well as allegations. Wait for memes to be made and trolls to get under your skin. Not really feeling it, are you? Good, because nobody should suffer that. That includes Kylie Jenner, for which it is a regular occurrence. At seventeen she is the youngest of the Jenner/Kardashian sisters. Thrown into the limelight by her family, she appeared on hit E! show Keeping Up With The Kardashian’s when she was just six years old. Like it or not, her family are famous. Whether it’s because you enjoy keeping up with the Kardashians – which let me tell you is harder than it looks - or not, that doesn’t change the fact. It also doesn’t give you a right to troll her online. Just like a typical teen, Kylie posts selfies regularly on social networking platform Instagram, and recently all attention seems to have gone to the size of her lips. Looking through her feed there is evident progression of the size over several months. However, is this merely a result of makeup application techniques, clever editing, smart angling or cosmetic surgery? Either way, what does it matter? Furthermore, why should you care? Scrolling through the comments on the @kylizzle account, people casually type "so the surgery thing is true lol" to "bitch admit you had surgery" and "you’re so fake it hurts", posted within seconds of each other. Photos posted weeks ago have comments posted an hour ago; it’s as though people are obsessed. Logging on to Twitter, the first suggestion of searching her name in the bar brings up ‘Kylie Jenner lip evolution.’ Following the link people have gone to the effort of creating collages and, with an assumed attempt of wit, edited photos of her lips taking over the world. Apparently it makes people "wanna pee :’)" but also others "be sick" because she’s "ugly af".
