The Irish Herald mixes up Stormzy and Romelu Lukaku

The Irish Herald has mistaken Stormzy for Romelu Lukaku.

The Irish newspaper recently ran a headline stating “Lukaku is ready for work”, with a picture alongside it; except the picture is of the wrong person. The newspaper mistook the rap artist Stormzy for the new Manchester United striker, Romelu Lukaku, who the piece was about.

Stormzy has responded to the mix-up, expressing his discontent.

The newspaper has issued an apology on their website, stating: “Hands up, we got it badly wrong.” They continued: “To be honest, we are totally embarrassed and want to say sorry to all involved and our readers for the error. We will keep our eye on the ball in future.”

It is currently the most read piece on their site.
