Forget those pointless academic rankings - the most important league table of the year has been released.
The University Sex League 2014 tells us that students at (drum roll, please)... the University of Brighton are having more sex than their peers anywhere else in the country.
Yes, whether it’s the sea air, the recently emerged sun, or the fact that the seaside just puts everyone in a giving mood – Brighton’s students are getting it on with more people than any of the rest of you.
The south coastal students have had an average 10.59 sexual partners each since starting uni, putting them ahead of Chester (9.94), Liverpool Hope (9.57), Southampton Solent (8.63) and Queen Mary, University of London (7.93).
Well done, Brighton.
The rest of the top ten is made up of Essex, Oxford Brookes, Edinburgh Napier, Central Lancashire and Bristol.
Languishing at the sad and (almost) sexless bottom of the table, we have Bath Spa, where students have had an average of 2.57 sexual partners each. Ouch.
Also not faring too well on the sexy front are West of Scotland (2.62), Bedfordshire (2.74), Teeside (2.82) and Canterbury Christ Church (2.83).
But hey, maybe they’re just committed. Nothing wrong with that...
Last year’s winners, Roehampton, have slipped to 17th place, with an average of 6.3 partners each, and 2012’s victors, Bangor, are also failing to live up to their name with 37th place and a score of 5.22.
The survey was carried out by Student Beans.
