The first ever company specialising in foreign currency exchange for international students was launched today.

The company now known as 'Student Currency Exchange' claims to give better rates than high street banks and other brokers to students paying course fees, accommodation costs and living expenses whilst studying overseas.

Student Currency Exchange plans to serve students around the globe, hoping to revolutionise the financial services market for international students as well as providing an easier method of fee collection from students for universities.

Founding director of Student Currency Exchange Adrian Jacob said: "Students have been ripped off by banks for years,"

"We will give students an exchange rate that will be up to 5% better than they will get from their bank or high street broker. In addition, we have no hidden charges.

"As a language student studying in France and the Ukraine more than ten years ago I got dismal exchange rates from my bank and things have not improved over the years.

"Banks see international students as soft targets. Students, however, are usually hard-pressed and on the financial breadline. We are righting a wrong and giving them the favourable exchange rates they should have been receiving for years.

"When it comes to exchange rates and client service our boast is that we are better by degrees."

Student Currency Exchange will provide each student with a personal account manager whose role is to deliver the student with the best live rates, and provide all help and support throughout the complicated process.

With headquarters based in London, Student Currency Exchange will serve students in the UK, US, Canada and the Middle East. Free phone lines will be available to any student dialling overseas from the United Kingdom, United States or Canada.

There is also the chance to earn commission by introducing other students. You will receive a £20 referral fee on the first trade over £5,000 for everyone introduced.
