It´s been a week since the Grenfell Tower fire and the victims are still being hit with further tragedy.

One Facebook user, Luisa Vieira, has posted on behalf of a young girl, Luana, who lost her dog in the midst of her escape from the burning building.

She writes that Luana refused to leave her flat on the 21st floor of the building without her dog, Lily. However the two were eventually separated when Luana lost consciousness before she made it out of the building.

Vieira has been to visit Luana and her family at King’s College Hospital, where Luana asked for Lily, eager and desperate to find her dog’s whereabouts.

Vieira has urged people on Facebook to help find Lily by coming forward with any information they may have and sharing her post.

The post has received a very positive response, being shared over seven thousand times and collecting over eight hundred comments. Most are well wishes and confirmations of people having shared the post, but a few have included helpful links, such as a Thunderclap created to help spread word of the cause.
