This Manchester office might be the coolest place to work in the country (or world)

Goodbye, grey carpets and dingy desks – we’ve found possibly the best place in the UK to bag a grad job.

The Manchester offices of has just had a makeover, which has cost £2.5 million and has reflects the city’s undeniably cool history.

That history means recreating the legendary Hacienda nightclub (birthplace of “Madchester”), as well as having rooms themed on the city’s arty Northern Quarter and Man United vs. Manchester City football rivalry.

It’s even got street art of one of Manchester’s less salubrious residents, Shameless patriarch Frank Gallagher.

The makeover was created by two local artists - street artist Kelso and Mark Kennedy, who is partly responsible for counter-culture haven Afflecks Palace.

The company has a multi-lingual staff and is on the lookout for graduates who might be inspired by their new surroundings. We think their newly revamped digs might give them a pretty good chance.

There’s even a room that references Canal Street, and the in-house café is a reimagining of Manchester’s legendary Hacienda nightclub - complete with yellow-and-black bollards, multi-coloured uplights, a ‘VIP area’ and tailor-made speaker wall. Colleagues are even encouraged to get fully immersed in the Hacienda spirit by spinning classic tracks on the Manchester-music-only jukebox.

Here’s a peek of the new office... we might just be having a bit of work envy.
