Design a part of history: The first UK Blog Awards are on the lookout for designers

Awards ceremonies have always been characterised by their trophies: think celebrities clasping the iconic Oscar or the deadpan golden face of the BAFTA awards.

Now, the first year of the UK Blog Awards heralds a search for a new trophy to celebrate achievements in the blogosphere.

The UK Blog Awards are offering design bloggers the opportunity to make their mark on the event by creating an award certificate which will later be given to winners and finalists at the upcoming ceremony this April in London.

The winning designer will both have their work celebrated at the ceremony and receive a complimentary ticket to attend, an opportunity that would give a budding designer the chance to network with the blogging elite.

The competition will close on 28th March, so you haven't got long to get your designs in. If you want to participate, send over your design idea to

The rules state:

- Entries be no larger than A4

- Must include the use of the National UK Blog Awards logo which is downloadable from the UK Blog Awards site.

- Must have room for the following details: Finalist Title (such as, National UK Blog Awards 2014 Finalist/Winner) – this title can be adaptable, space for Blog Name, #UKBA14

- Available in Mac and Microsoft formats

- Individuals and Companies can enter

- You must be aged 18 years and be a UK resident

- No more than one design is to be submitted

- You must be available to attend the awards evening on Friday 25th April 2014

- You must be a blogger or have a blog linked with your website
