Volunteer Bloggers Needed

13th May 2013

Alcohol Concern is  looking for a team of young writers (aged under 25) to create articles exploring various issues related to alcohol as part of its new youth driven campaign.

It’s The Drink Talking is a campaign that aims to give young people a voice on alcohol issues, as well as the tools to create positive social change. The campaign is different from those that just raise awareness about the risks of alcohol misuse - the team at Alcohol Concern are looking for bloggers to write articles exploring the wider social, economic, political and cultural issues related to alcohol.

So whether you're interested in crime, inequality, health, advertising practices, cultural issues, stereotypes about young people or something else, Alcohol Concern want to hear your opinion.

As volunteers you will get:

  • A platform to have your voice heard, your writing published, and your skills developed
  • A great deal of freedom to manage your own time, write in your own way, and on topics that you are interested in
  • A profile page on Alcohol Concern's campaign site, with articles promoted and cross-published elsewhere
Blogging work will typically be done remotely from wherever volunteers are based, though Alcohol Concern can also host volunteers at their London offices. There is no minimum time commitment, and volunteers produce work according to agreed deadlines, managing their own time around this.

It's The Drink Talking will launch at the end of May but bloggers should get in contact before that. For more information, or to get involved with this opportunity, contact Matthew Corr at / 0207 566 9801.
