The Starling Sessions, organised by music industry professional Leanne Page, have been launched to provide aspiring artists with a clearer route into the music industry.

Aimed at the wealth of unsigned musical talent across the country, the sessions will provide mentoring sessions that will give people the skills needed for sustained success in the music business. Sessions are varied, including live production, self-management, training in digital software for promotion purposes, creating your own brand and receiving feedback on a live performance.

Page, currently lecturing in Events Management at Kings College London, mentors many of the sessions herself, making use of her own wide experience. She has sung in London’s Astoria, been a project manager for the biggest names in the music and television industry, and established an industry-defining academy designed to help people into the charity sector. She has also helped various unsigned musicians into a successful career, most notably Taio Cruz.

The core mentors are all currently working in the music industry, for the likes of talent agency MN2S and crowd funding platform Indiegogo, meaning they can pass on genuine, first-hand experience to those curious about how to succeed in music.

Taking place at the Port-of-Entry studio in East London, sessions are now available for booking. People can become members of The Starling Sessions for free, receiving discounts on sessions. A subscription option is also available for greater discounts and added benefits.
