At a loose end this Bank Holiday Sunday? Out and about in London? Then Streetfest could be the perfect fit.
Streetfest, now in its eighth year, is taking over Tabacco Dock for a unique day championing street culture. The event fuses together an eclectic mix including live dance, art, fashion, street food, creative workshops and music.
So what have they got on offer?
Music
Wrap your ears round a cutting edge line-up of forward thinking artists including Kutmah, roots & culture legend MC Soom t, Loyle Corner, Isaiah Dreads and exciting collectives; So Fresh, So Clean and Doctor’s Orders Showcase.
Art
50 celebrated graffiti and street artists will be displaying their skills. The expanded art line-up also includes workshops pairing established artists up with groups of aspiring artists.
Dance
Dedicated to supporting and nurturing women in hip hop, b.supreme will again curate the dance stage presenting a vibrant mix of high-energy performances and battles. This includes a Streetfest first in the shape of a b-boy versus b-girl crew battle, with some of the best crews from across Europe. There will also be special performances from Parkour Dance Company and b.supreme.
Sport
This year features the festival’s biggest street sport arena to date. Highlights include Red Bull’s Kyle Forte returning with his impressive BMX jump-box demo team and the Voodoo Unicycling team.
Apart from that you can indulge in street food from some of the capital’s most popular traders and pick up fashions from the likes of Dirty Rich Apparel.
