Festival Preview: Baltic Weekender 2019

Over the years Liverpool’s Baltic Triangle has become the playing ground for like-minded creatives, hosting some of the cities biggest club nights, and world-renowned talent.
Baltic Weekender comes as a celebration of this movement, as it exhibits some of the most promising local talents among prolific names in the electronic music scene.

Going from strength to strength in its third year, the 2-day festival is brought to you by 24 Kitchen Street and local promoters Abandon Silence. The weekender takes place over the final weekend of Liverpool student’s academic year, becoming a huge staple on the student calendar.
This year, Baltic Weekender has announced some massive names, with Hertfordshire duo Maribou State, English producer George Fitzgerald, and an exclusive opening party set from Russian whizz Nina Kraviz. Detroit Swindle, DJ Stingray, Flava D, KETTAMA, and local party starter Melé, are also set to appear across the weekend, with as Liverpool’s finest local selectors and DJs bringing their flavours to the line-up.
As well as bringing some of the biggest talents in D&B, techno, grime, house and everything in between, Baltic Weekender showcases Liverpool’s creative hub and it’s resistance against the ever-looming shadow of gentrification. Some of the cities most vibrant venues such as Constellations, New Bird Street Warehouse, Hangar34, District, Brick Street are just a few of the spaces lending their floors for the weekend.
