Hear This: Bring Me The Horizon - MANTRA

The Sheffield heavyweights are back on the scene with a brand new single, ‘MANTRA’, after their 2015 album That’s The Spirit divided opinion among fans.

Bring Me The Horizon have been off our radar for the past two years at least, with no signs of any new music on the table. Suddenly, we have been bombarded with information: a new single, album announcement and an Autumn tour.

Their sixth studio album, amo, is set to release on 11th January 2019, giving us the assumption of a nice flow of drip-fed tracks to preview the record. Since the band started their music repertoire has clearly been expanding. In 2013, the introduction of programming and keys member, Jordan Fish, truly cemented their growth from “screamo” to having a much more accessible sound that straddles the line between heavy rock and mainstream rock.

‘MANTRA’ opens with electro-fuzz and a heavy drum beat that is carried out throughout the track partnered the same dark matter that their back catalogue holds, only with a bit more of a wonderfully weird edge.
