If your summer is jam-packed with festival fun, then take a mid-season breather with this laid-back family festival in the heart of the Dorset countryside.

Camp Bestival is the sister festival to Bestival and label themselves a Festi-Holiday since the four days are bursting with entertaining activities to do, other than be glued to the main stage.

There is everything from a Bollywood rave tent (with the signature Bollywood Cocktail Bus), to the literary institute, which is packed with sofas and armchairs for you to flop into and absorb the advice and intellect of authors, poets and speakers.

There are also lots of competitions to get involved with including the annual 'pimp my trolly' competition, and the 'beard and moustache' competition.

Whether you want to chill with your group of mates, or make it a family affair, this festival is tailored to everyone.

The 2018 line-up is filled with talent. A snapshot of the names include old gems Simple Minds and Rick Astley, modern chart-toppers Clean Bandit, up and coming Declan McKenna, and YouTube sensation, dodie.

You may only recognise a handful of the artists performing at this festival, but Camp Bestival is known for putting the spotlight on those up and coming acts that will soon be headlining Glastonbury. Previous performers include Ellie Goulding in 2010, Ed Sheeran in 2011, and the 1975 in 2013.

Tucked away in the historical site of Lulworth Castle, this four-day event is an opportunity for festival goers to let loose and have fun; you'll be guaranteed to leave with golden memories that simply cannot be replicated anywhere else.

Camp Bestival runs from the 26th - 29th July. Tickets are available here
