The Merseyside four piece have created a modern pop gem with a polished 80s glaze.

Having already found their way onto BBC Introducing’s radar Panda Cult will be buoyed by early success. They’ve made their own luck though as ‘Blue Angel’s’ stylish sound testifies.

Reminiscent of Tears for Fears via The Drums, The KDMS and Metronomy, ‘Blue Angel’ embraces a ‘retro’ vibe in many ways but still feels fresh.

Feeling like an even more accomplished single than ‘First Time’, it’s easy to see ‘Blue Angel’ becoming a stand out sound for the band. It’s a track with instant appeal so prepare to be hooked as soon as the bass guitar rips in.

The early signs are all fantastic ones and suggest it’s going to be well worth keeping tabs on Panda Cult. Watch this space.
