If you're looking for a brand spanking new wonderfully weird pop record, then this is the one for you. Underground veteran R. Stevie Moore and Jason Falkner have collaborated on genre-busting new track 'I H8 Ppl', the lead single of new album Make It Be. Packed with quirky charm this is a lively, guitar driven track, which doesn't disappoint. Both upholding prestigious names in their own right, the collaboration of the creative genius of each star seems to work as well as fish and chips, guitar and bass and rock and roll; with the eclectic mix of genres working to mould the perfect interlocking of '70s rock and roll with contemporary influences. With Moore considered a "lo-fi legend" and one of the founding fathers of DIY recording, Falkner's band and solo artist acolades and work with the likes of Paul McCartney and Air compliment Moore fantastically, with a nostalgic injection of good old fashioned rock and roll. The track's mighty opening of drums parallel the storming of Moore and Falkner onto the scene, with a lyrical sentiment which we could all get on board with in the world's current state of affairs. "Such a change I have never seen before" and the simple chorus comprising only of the repetition of "I hate people" says it all. You know what I'm talking about. The ironically upbeat guitar which accompanies the somewhat melancholy lyrics send out a hopeful message, with a nostalgic salute to the early Bowie era circa The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars/Aladdin Sane. The eagerly anticipated new album, Make It Be, is released on 6th April on Bar None.
