Sofia Hardig

Since we featured Sofia Härdig in our Fresher Sounds column the other week we have been delving deeper into the ethereal, rock wonders of her new album And The Street Light Leads To The Sea.

And now we can share it with you for the first time.

After years working with names like The Hellacopters, Boredoms and Free Kitten, the Swedish multi-instrumentalist is unveiling her first full-length effort that looks set to make her the ‘new queen of alt- rock.’

Härdig makes a bold statement channelling PJ Harvey, riot grrl attitude, post punk rhythms and the noise of no wave to forge a truly compelling rock album that sounds like much that has gone before but totally fresh.

Experimental, angst-driven and the sound of an artist letting go this is a must listen for all fans of alt-rock.

Have a listen below:

And The Street Light Leads To The Sea will be available on the 28th October.
