Slow Hollows

When you’ve collaborated with Tyler, The Creator, worked with Frank Ocean, and walked for Yves Saint Laurent, you’ve kind of qualified for a well-earned gap year.

Having just skipped out of high school, at eighteen-year-old Austin Feinstien fronts LA five piece, Slow Hollows.

Their latest cut, ‘Last Dance’, is charismatic from the off. A nifty riff is weaved delicately throughout the track, cross-stitched with sunny melodies.

Simplistic lyricism flows in the expectant flirtatious indie style; smile satisfying with old school quirks of short ‘ohs’ that are best accompanied with toe taps.

With their forthcoming, third, record, ‘Romantic’, setting out to tear apart the romanticised mentality attached to mental illness, struggling artists and failing relationships, ‘Last Dance’ is bittersweet.

It’ll leave you twirling in the starry rhythm, but we have a feeling it won’t be quite as breezy when slotted into the full context.
