Croatia is awash with music festivals, mainly dance-based, beach shindigs that draw sun-seeking UK party-goers in droves.

INmusic FestivalHead away from the beach and towards Zagreb and you’ll find INmusic, an alternative festival that boasts one of the best line-ups in Europe each year.

As Croatia’s largest open-air festival, it sits on the edge of the country’s beautiful capital this is a great chance to take in some of Northern Croatia’s wonders and mix in some top musical performances.

The site itself sits right on Zagreb’s own “beach” on the shores of Jarun Lake combining the city with nature.

Transport and accommodation are easy to come by at an affordable price.

ZagrebThis year the line-up will not disappoint with Florence and The Machine, PJ Harvey returning with new material, 90s Brit-rockers Skunk Anansie, The Coral and Americana heavyweights Wilco all on the bill.

You’ll also get to witness the explosive The Heavy, who always deliver astounding live sets.

Ticket prices are also exceptionally cheap combined festival and camping tickets coming in at just 525kn (70 Euro).

INmusic is a great reason to visit Zagreb this summer – not that you need an excuse.
