This tune has been around for ages but is only now making waves.
Since finishing in third place on the US’ second series of The X-Factor (2012), Fifth Harmony have been slowly but surely redefining the girl group’s underestimated power in the pop industry with a plethora of infectious and pro-feminist anthems.
Their latest is summer sensation, ‘Worth It’.
The track currently stands at number three on the UK’s Official Chart, maintaining its popularity regardless of being initially released to US radio in March with an accompanying music video. With a multitude of striking promotional performances (ignoring the obvious autotune and playback), Worth It has been a slow burner and not-so-surprising dark horse in the race for chart success.
Hybridising R&B and pop, this ultimately catchy track switches things up with production referencing eastern styles through a Balkan-inspired hook. Also continuing ‘BO$$’s’ feminist standpoint, Fifth Harmony make 'Worth It' an empowering anthem and impenitent display of feminine sexuality as the vocalists demand to be impressed.

Fifth Harmony’s debut album Reflection and latest single 'Worth It' (feat. Kid Ink) are now available to purchase on iTunes.
