Somersault Festival is back for 2015 with the second installment of the Devon festival. After a phenomenal sell-out debut back in 2014, the team at Somersault have upped their game with an even bigger and better line up for this summer.
The festival was created by the team behind the award-winning Wilderness Festival, and it promises to be five days of music, adventure and blissful outdoor life.
A festival with a ‘new vision’ according to the guys at Somersault HQ, and don’t just take their word for it, with seaside escapes, field trips, horse riding, craft and culture, there is something for everyone - you can even enjoy a relaxing break with wellbeing and yoga, as well as other excursions to keep you busy. When you’re not relaxing in the lovely North Devon sunshine, the festival has a spectacular music offering for you to indulge in. Friday at the festival boasts an incredible line up of new talent and old favourite with Laura Marling taking the headline spot. Alongside her are the likes of Bear’s Den, Lucy Rose and the enchanting sister trio, The Staves as well as up and coming acts such as Honeyblood and Fyfe. Bombay Bicycle Club will take to the stage to headline the Saturday of Somersault Festival with Imelda May, Rae Morris and Amber Run all performing as well. To finish the weekend we have Jimmy Cliff, Jake Isaac, Crystal Fighters and the legendary Passenger. This is just a taste of the musical offering at the festival, check out Somersault’s website for the full line up.
The scope of what is on offer is admirable for such a young festival. We’re sure you will find yourself getting a bite to eat from one of the headline restaurant partners in between testing your inner Bear Grylls with survival camps, or showing off your sporting skills with a spot of surfing or volleyball. There truly is so much on offer. Somersault promises us summer sounds and outward bounds, and we can’t wait.Somersault Festival will take place at Castle Hill in Devon from 23rd - 27th July.
