Victoria Park, London
19th July

Enter Citadel. The peak of summer. Located in the glorious sunshine (let's hope) of London's Victoria Park.

Citadel FestivalCitadel (n.) a fortress, typically one on high ground above a city.

Described as "a mirror to the city",  the one day festival celebrates the inexhaustibility of London whilst displaying the best music the indie/alternative/folk genres have to offer.
A name of such power and heaviness expects, well, pretty good acts. Headlining this year first effort are Bombay Bicycle Club and Ben Howard, with Kurt Vile & The Violators, Anna Calvi with The Heritage Orchestra, Jimi Goodwin, Steve Gunn and Joe Pug also taking to the Main Stage.

With Dan Croll, Roots Manuva and Bear's Dean recently joining the lineup and more to be announced shortly, Citadel possesses unlimited potential this year.
Not only with main acts, but through brass bands, wing dances, folk ceilidhs, hoedowns, spoken word, comedy and fine art. Citadel is more than just music.

It's an East London scene taster which expects to leave everyone yearning for more.
