When you think of Lincolnshire, you probably don’t immediately think ‘Party Central’!
The county can be pretty beautiful, which might explain independent record label Moda Black choosing a Lincolnshire locale for Lost Village, a boutique, intimate electronic music festival.
Setting is everything in this current climate of festival overload so the best of blips and beats in an eerie and secluded forest sounds awesome. Expect a ‘woodland adventure to explore old cabins, dilapidated buildings and remnants of an unusual past’ all soundtracked some of the world’s finest international house, techno, disco and electronica artists.
Topping the bill is Four Tet, the maverick producer who has always pushed the boundaries of electronic sound.
Joining him is world-conquering DJ, producer and Hot Creations label boss Jamie Jones and German super-producer DJ Koze with a rare UK appearance.
The bill is also propped up by the likes of legendary disco selector Greg Wilson, Parisian house fusionist Dan Ghenacia and established dance powerhouses Erol Alkan and Dusky.
Strangely, Lincolnshire has probably become a must-visit destination for your Spring Bank Holiday weekend (23-24 May).
The site is easy to get to, with frequent trains running to and from London King’s Cross (1hr20), Manchester (2hrs), Leeds (1hr10) and Nottingham (50mins) into Newark North Gate or Lincoln Central. Camping is included in the ticket price, and there’s even the option to upgrade to a PodPad filled with home comforts.
