There is something about songs with a story, a journey. Jazz pianist Nozart's latest single 'Long, Long Time' certainly has that something.
Influenced by the most atmospheric of film scores, and fused with rock bombast and jazz intricacies, the track transports listeners. Taking them to a place where the story is theirs to figure out.
Captivating vocals with hints of Radiohead’s Thom Yorke, compliment an often peppered but sometimes sugared tone that weaves and dances with traditional a jazz rhythm.
Throwing a listener back and forth at pace, anticipation runs a marathon throughout as there is never a settled moment. Reminiscent of a cinematic production, there are dual personalities within. Ensuring that intricate details are plucked from sincere lyrics ranging from ‘it’s been a long long time, since I have seen that blade’ to ‘you say that men are fools’ unwinding a tale of a relationship burying under.
A surprising wonder, to be appreciated over and over again.
