Today’s new band fit the mould of superstars in waiting. For electro-pop outfit Grizfolk, success is just on the horizon.Stylistically, the band have drawn comparisons to Bastille, and their hook-filled, synth-led sound was deemed perfect for a support slot on the Bad Blood tour in Europe.Thankfully though, we’re not dealing with a Bastille carbon copy. Grizfolk’s sound is a hybrid of a number of styles, fusing smooth Americana guitar riffs with experimental synth melodies. Yet the two seeming opposing styles are tied together with the bands slick pop songwriting. Although a number of the bands songs have surfaced online, 'The Struggle' is their only release to date. It is effortless catchy summers track – just what the nation needs at a time when Britain seems to have offended Poseidon.Grizfolk’s debut EP ‘From the Spark’ is released on 25th February.
