Having turned heads with their debut EP The Compass, progressive metal outfit Circles have taken their sound to new places with their new album Infinitas.
‘Eye Embedded’ is one of the band's earlier songs and arguably one of their strongest. The complex and aggressive instrumentation is complimented by the powerful vocal hooks of Perry Kakridas, who’s performance draw’s comparisons to Faith No More’s Mike Patton
‘Responses’ is the first single to be taken the new album. Instrumentally, it is a song of unrelenting technical aggression that culminates in a furious breakdown, with Kakridas’ screamed vocals showing another aspect to his voice, which is unsurprisingly superlative throughout the song.
Circles are a band full of idiosyncrasies, defying the genre conventions and limitations of progressive metal. With an impressive debut album the band have a bright future ahead of them.
