Formed out of the ashes of pop rock band Futures, Ant West and Casey Roarty’s new project We The Wild looks to be their most exciting yet.The band announced their arrival with ‘You lost my mind’, an idiosyncratic track that combines fractured riffs and a bouncy beat with dreamy, distant vocals. The band’s latest offering ‘Electric Blue' offers something different as a slow, ambient track that meanders through into a powerful, infectious chorus that contrasts well with its understated verses. It would be easy to compare the band to the likes of Alt- J or Bastille, but such comparisons would betray the bands unique craft. Still in their relative infancy, it may take a while for people to start taking notice, but once people do We The Wild have the potential to explode.
